In this course we dicuss how research-based knowledge can be implemented in pre-school and school to improve motivation and learning in areas such as mathematics, language and reading comprehension.

You must be accepted to the course in order to participate in the classes.

The classes are comprised of lectures and seminars.
It is compulsory to attend the first class. If you do not attend, your access to the course will be withdrawn. If you are ill or otherwise prevented from attending, you must contact the study administration of the course as early as possible. (See contact information on the semester page).
Compulsory components:
In order to complete the compulsory components, you must attend the seminars.
The deadline and detailed requirement for the paper will be announced at the beginning of the semester.
The course has a syllabus of approximately 750 pages.
First time Autumn 2019
Offered first time Autumn 2019, then every succeeding autumn
The exam is a 4-hour written school exam.
The exam task may be a problem based question or questions based on the course syllabus.
Before you can take the exam the compulsory components must be completed and approved.
This course offers the possibility of postponed examination or new examination. If you have received approval of your reason for absence, you may apply for postponed examination. If you have failed the exam, you may apply for a new exam. Postponed or new exam is normally set within three months from the regular exam.
Compulsory components are approved for 3 years (including the semester they were completed) If you wish to retake the exam after that period, you will have to retake the course to complete the compulsory components.
Grades are awarded on a scale from A to F, where A is the best grade and F is a fail. Read more about the grading system.
The exam is graded by to examiners.
