This is a course in English-language feminist fiction from the 19th century to today. Students will study a selection of novels and/or short stories that focus on women’s lives and reflect on what it means to be a woman and a feminist from various sexual, racial, class, and national perspectives.
The course will consider the development and thematics of feminist fiction and its contribution to the development of new narrative techniques.
After completing this course, you:

Seminars, 2 hours weekly for 10 weeks. 20 hours in all.
The allowed absence limit will cover all absences, including illness. You will not be granted valid absences with documentation, even when the absence is due to something beyond your control.

All obligatory activities must be approved in the same semester for you to sit the exam. Fulfilled course requirements are only valid the semester you attend the course.
